It's nice to see some good politics for a change. I'm so sick of the presidential campaigning etc., especially since I don't like the leading candidates. Anyway, I was very pleased to see the headlines just now saying that Connecticut is going to allow same sex marriages. About time! I don't know if I've said it here before, but I believe that same sex marriage should be legalized everywhere. I even gave a speech about it in my college years in one of my classes. This issue has been around for a long time, and I know for a lot of people it's been a long battle. Glad to see a victory! Here's one link to one of the stories today--

Congratulations Connecticut!!
Family, politics, writing, and books, plus my own rantings of course. Lately lots of Lego and ham radio.

Tommy Devine
I saw a write-up in our local student newspaper about a guy named Tommy Devine. Seems that this guy has a habit of working on his blog not far from my desk. We've never met before but I'm sure I've seen him as an anonymous person sitting at one of the computers in our Learning Commons. So I'm adding his blog to my list on the right side. Just because. I don't think that many folks are reading my blog, but if I can give this guy a little more fame, any little bit helps. Right?
Also I used his blog as a jumping off point to find a lot of other local blogs and sites. I've included some of those in my list now too. I had no idea how much blogging actually happens in this library. Actually I've always suspected that quite a bit happens on My Space and Facebook, but I just always assumed it was mostly the under-30 crowd doing it. I didn't realize that others were here doing it too.
