Something completely different... food art inspired by "The Power of Poppy Pendle"

The assignment from the elementary school library teacher to the 4th-5th-and 6th graders was to create a character using at least one vegetable. The character had to be from one of the MCBA (Massachusetts Children's Book Awards) books.

Lego City Advent Calendar Day 3 and Day 4

Day 3 is a little pond with a bucket with a pair of ice skates. Appears to be a pie on the bench.

Day 4 is a little stand with a mug. Coffee? Hot cocoa? I think it goes well with the ice skates.

I haven't had a chance to start setting these things up on the display stand that comes with the calendar. I hope to be able to do that soon though. For now I'm assembling them, photographing them, and then tucking them into a little plastic container with a lid on it to keep the pieces safe until later.
